While other Halloween events focus on fear, fright, blood, guts, and gore, Tomb of the Risen Dead focuses on calling out the hero within you in a world of both good and evil. In this unique event, you have the opportunity to become a hero of Everlast or join the Shadow Order, and assist either side in dismantling or uncovering the emblems of Everlast. As you step into this immersive adventure, we encourage you to aid in conquering evil and become a hero in this epic battle!
This story-driven event takes its cues from the Scripture verse James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." The DeSoto Caverns team's objective is to enrich, enlighten, educate and entertain our guests through the parables and messages personified through characters, shows, and story-based quests. Guests will learn how their individual story is a part of the deep roots of our land's history, America's history, and the deepest core story written by the Great Author, God, also referred to as Providence in American history. Guests will get to experience the parables illustrated in Scripture as they choose the direction of their own journey and discover where God is leading them as a hero in their story. Our world needs followers of God who inspire others to live according to His pathways, and so we hope this event will awaken and encourage people to live courageously for God as in Psalm 16:11 "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.”
